There are many ways that people can make donations in memory of a loved on.

Donations in memory of a loved one

Many families decide that rather than people buying flowers for the funeral, it would be more appropriate if they made a donation to Donegal Hospice. When the obituary is on the radio or in the newspaper a comment like: “donations in lieu of flowers to Donegal Hospice via the undertaker or any family member” is included. The money received should be placed in an envelope with your name and address on it so that an acknowledgement can be sent from the Donegal Hospice. The family will receive a receipt and a sympathy letter and an acknowledgement card will be posted out from the hospice office.

The family or the undertaker can arrange to call with Isobell at the Donegal Hospice: just phone to arrange a time 074 91 25656.

An alternative option is that the donation can be paid on line by Pay Pal,or iDonate, available via the Donegal Hospice web site.

Another option is to post the donation to Donegal Hospice, Knocknamona, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. You will receive an acknowledgement and the family will be informed of your donation.
