A message from the President of the Donegal Association of Philadelphia
It is my pleasure as President of the Donegal Association of Philadelphia to present a cheque for $14,000 to the Donegal Hospice on behalf of the association. The association decided too have a fundraiser for the hospice after several of our members had personal experiences with family members receiving excellent end of life care in the Knocknamona Hospice facility.
The Donegal Association of Philadelphia was founded in 1888 as a “Social, Charitable and Patriotic Association”.The sons and daughters of Donegal have kept this venerable group going for 130 continuous years , keeping alive their original purpose which was the provision of “mutual sympathy, support, devotion and attachment to faith and homeland”.
